The Land Management Institute, the Boyarka Forest Research Station of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, and the Kyiv Regional Council held an InfoDay as part of the promotion of the LandShift project in the Kyiv region
On March 25–26, 2026, the Land Management Institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, together with the Boyarka Forest Research Station of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine and the Kyiv Regional Council, organized and conducted an InfoDay aimed at promoting the LandShift project in the Kyiv region.
The LandShift project (https://landshift.eu/) – “Community-Led Creation of Living Spaces in Shifting Landscapes for Climate-Resilient Land Use Management and Supporting the New European Bauhaus” – aims to transform land-use practices to enhance climate resilience and support the sustainable development of communities. The project is funded under the European Union’s research and innovation programme Horizon Europe in accordance with Grant Agreement No. 101182007.
The event took place within the framework of the Green Expo 2026 exhibition at VDNH, in Pavilion “Whale” (No. 9).
Technical support for the LandShift project’s participation in the exhibition was provided by Andriy Dorosh and Shamil Ibatullin (both from the Land Management Institute). They ensured the transportation of equipment and materials required for the exhibition, assembled and dismantled the exhibition stand, and set up the equipment for demonstrating presentations, the LandShift project website, and the Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) library developed within the project.
Over the two days of the exhibition, Mariia Zavodiana (Land Management Institute) worked at the stand and engaged with visitors. She was joined for one day each by representatives of the Boyarka Forest Research Station — Iryna Zibtseva and Oksana Chornobrov. Andriy Dorosh also participated in these activities.
During the two days, representatives of the LandShift project interacted with numerous visitors from different regions of Ukraine, as well as international guests, disseminating information about the project and distributing informational flyers.
Participation in the InfoDay enabled the project team to engage two potential stakeholders who expressed interest in joining the next Community Lab meeting — namely, representatives of the Ukrainian Agrivoltaics Association and an Innovation Center.
The Land Management Institute expresses its gratitude to the organizers of Green Expo 2026 for the opportunity to successfully hold the InfoDay and promote the LandShift project. We look forward to future opportunities to organize similar events.
