Land Management Institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine Participated in the TISC–2026 Strategic Session for Regional Representatives
On 19 May 2026, an online strategic session TISC–2026 was held via Zoom for regional representatives of Kyiv city and Kyiv region. The session was organised by the UKRNOIVI TISC Head Office under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.
The Land Management Institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine was represented at the strategic session by Deputy Director Andrii Tarnopolskyi and PhD in Economics Roman Kharytonenko. A presentation on the Institute’s TISC activities was delivered by Andrii Tarnopolskyi.
During the event, participants presented reports on the work of their respective centres, covering:
– goals and directions for the development of intellectual property and innovation services in 2026;
– planned events, webinars and projects to which UKRNOIVI may contribute as a co-organiser and/or speaker;
– issues, challenges and proposals regarding the further development of the centres;
– international activities, including potential workshops and projects involving WIPO.
Among the thematic priorities discussed in the context of activities planned for the second half of 2026, the Institute outlined a range of initiatives in the areas of land management, cadastre and land protection — including the development of land surveying documentation standards, the introduction of innovative software solutions for cadastre and land valuation, the protection of intellectual property in documentation and software, support for researchers and innovators, and the promotion of research commercialisation. In addition, the Institute proposed legislative and regulatory amendments to incorporate intellectual property rights (copyright certificates) into the criteria for state attestation of research institutions, to address issues related to the commercialisation of research and development outputs, to establish procedures for the direct procurement of copyright-protected works without public tender requirements, and to regulate the payment of remuneration and royalties.
The concluding TISC–2026 strategic session is scheduled for 5 June 2026 and will be held online with the participation of representatives from all regional TISCs and a representative of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.
