On October 20, 2023, the Land Management Institute of National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovations (IP office). The aim of this collaboration is to work together in safeguarding and protecting rights to intellectual property objects. The memorandum encompasses the following aspects:
– Implementation of innovations in the development of a new land relationship strategy.
– Protection of intellectual property rights when designing models and mechanisms for the rational use and protection of land.
– Information and advisory support.
In addition, a Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC) was established within the institute.In addition, the Institute has established the Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC). As indicated on the Intellectual Property (IP) office’s website, “Intellectual property is a key catalyst for innovation and progress. Protecting and safeguarding the rights to intellectual property objects in the field of land use is of critical importance to integrating new ideas and technologies into modern reality and provides every creator with the confidence that their developments are secure, contributing to a better future for society.”
TISC is a center dedicated to supporting technology and innovation. The network of Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISCs) is an international project of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), which has been implemented in Ukraine since 2018 based on a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine and WIPO regarding the establishment of TISCs in Ukraine, dated July 26, 2018. The WIPO’s TISC project has been operating since 2009 in over 80 countries worldwide.
 
Types of services provided to users at TISC:
Basic:
Providing access to patent and non-patent information resources (databases).
Offering consultation assistance on using the aforementioned information resources.
Organizing distance learning programs from the WIPO Academy.
Additional:
Assisting in searching and obtaining technical information.
Training in searching specialized databases and other information resources in the field of intellectual property.
Consultation on general questions related to the preparation and submission of applications (including electronically) for protective documents.
Granting users access to TISC’s hardware and software tools.
Assisting in obtaining rights to intellectual property objects.
Monitoring of scientific, technical, and innovative potential, intellectual resources, etc.
Providing consultation services on the development and implementation of the patent strategy of economic entities.
Developing recommendations on obtaining (registering) legal protection for identified R&D results and their use in public use.
Other services necessary at various stages of intellectual activity.
