Land Management Institute of NAAS Featured in the International Shifting Landscapes Podcast
Dr. Oksana Sakal, Doctor of Economic Sciences and Head of the Department of Experimental Land Use Planning at the Land Management Institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, is among the speakers featured in the first episode of the international podcast Shifting Landscapes — “Entangled Landscapes: Research and Co-Creation in AfroGrow and LandShift.”
The episode brings together four expert voices from the LandShift and AfroGrow projects. Also representing LandShift is Dr. Barbara Wieliczko — an economist, Associate Professor at the Institute of Rural and Agricultural Development of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and Vice President of the European Rural Development Network, where she coordinates multi-actor processes within the project. The AfroGrow project is represented by Dr. Thiam Sophie — a researcher at the Institut Sénégalais de Recherches Agricoles (ISRA) and an expert in soil science and climate-smart agriculture — and Dr. Zambella Pittaki, a soil scientist at CIFOR-ICRAF specialising in soil spectroscopy and the development of Living Labs.
The LandShift project (https://landshift.eu/) – “Community-Led Creation of Living Spaces in Shifting Landscapes for Climate-Resilient Land Use Management and Supporting the New European Bauhaus” – aims to transform land-use practices to enhance climate resilience and support the sustainable development of communities. The project is funded under the European Union’s research and innovation programme Horizon Europe in accordance with Grant Agreement No. 101182007.
