From September 24 to 25, 2024, researchers of the Land Management Institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine took part in the international conference “European Dimension of Development and Cooperation of Polish and Ukrainian Regions”, which took place in Warsaw (Poland). The delegation of the Institute was headed by Director Yosyp Dorosh. The delegation also included Deputy Director for Research Shamil Ibatullin, Deputy Director Andrii Tarnopolskyi, Head of the Department Oksana Sakal, Chief Researcher of the Institute of Land Management of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine and Head of the Department of Land Management of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine Olha Dorosh, Scientific Secretary of the Institute Roman Kharytonenko, Researcher of the Institute Andrii Dorosh, and Postgraduate Student, Assistant of the Department of Geoinformatics and Aerospace Earth Studies of NULES of Ukraine Mariia Bratinova.
 

 
On September 24-25, 2024, in Warsaw (Poland), the Committee for Spatial Development of the Country of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS) and the Institute of Geography of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NAS), with the financial support of the Polish Academy of Sciences and under the patronage of the Ministry of Finance and Regional Policy of Poland, held a scientific conference “The European Dimension of Development and Mutual Cooperation of the Regions of Poland and Ukraine”. The event focused on the challenges of development, exchange of experience and prospects of cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian regions as a basis for Ukraine’s accession to the European space, territorial consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine, as well as Polish-Ukrainian territorial cooperation in the context of rebuilding the country on the basis of European integration.

Representatives of the Land Management Institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine presented two scientific reports at the event.
Andrii Tarnopolskyi made a presentation on “Approaches to restoration of lands affected by military operations in Ukraine”.
Shamil Ibatullin presented “Agricultural land management and spatial development in Ukraine: expectations and challenges”.
 

 

During the visit of Ukrainian scientists to Warsaw, working meetings were also held with the Director of the Institute of Rural and Agricultural Development of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IRWiR PAN), Dr. hab., Professor Monika Stanny and IRWiR PAN scientists. The participants of the meetings discussed key areas for the development of joint research, paying special attention to Ukraine’s European integration and the impact of the war on the agricultural sector and land use practices.
