
In the city of Warsaw, Republic of Poland, from July 9th to July 13th, 2023, specialist Mariia Bratinova from the Land Management Institute of National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine completed an internship at the “SGH Doctoral Summer School of International Business”. The aim of the event was to familiarize graduate and doctoral students with selected contemporary methods in international business, which involve the collection and analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data within a single research project, where data is gathered simultaneously or sequentially. The summer school included seminars and workshops, for which experts from the most prestigious universities and institutions in Europe were invited, including:
• University of Birmingham, United Kingdom;
• Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien;
• University of Turku.
The lectures at the summer school were dedicated to the following topics:
• Sustainable International Business and Marketing;
• Credibility of Data: Scientific Inquiry & Digital Age;
• Mixed Methods in International Business;
• International Market Entry Modes in the CEE and Emerging Markets.
In addition to lectures, the summer school included practical seminars on writing scientific papers and reviewing the works of other researchers. Participants of the event also had the opportunity to receive feedback on their research proposals from leading scholars who participated in the Doctoral Summer School. Specifically, Mariia Bratinova presented the poster of her research study on the topic “The problem of methods and approaches to data collection in land valuation in Ukraine”.
Feedback
