Participation of the Land Management Institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine in the 18th International Scientific Conference “Monitoring of Geological Processes and Ecological Condition of the Environment”
On April 17, 2025, representatives of the Land Management Institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine participated in the 18th International Scientific Conference “Monitoring of Geological Processes and Ecological Condition of the Environment”, organized by the Educational and Scientific Institute “Institute of Geology” of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with the support of the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE).
The conference was dedicated to the monitoring of natural hazards, in particular geological processes and factors that may lead to environmental disasters. The main thematic areas included: modern technologies of geophysical monitoring, monitoring of water environments and atmospheric air, geohazards, geophysics in engineering geology, soil science, archaeology and ecology, aerospace monitoring methods, geographic information systems and technologies, geological modeling, monitoring of mineral deposits, as well as environmental and economic risks.
Researchers from the Land Management Institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, in collaboration with colleagues from the Department of Geoinformatics and Aerospace Research of the Earth, Faculty of Land Management of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (NUBiP of Ukraine), and the Institute of Rural and Agricultural Development of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IRWiR PAN), namely:
– Oksana Sakal (Land Management Institute of NAAS of Ukraine, IRWiR PAN);
– Mariia Bratinova (Land Management Institute of NAAS of Ukraine, Department of Geoinformatics and Aerospace Research of the Earth, NUBiP of Ukraine);
– Bohdana Zayachkivska (Department of Geoinformatics and Aerospace Research of the Earth, NUBiP of Ukraine);
– Roman Derkulskyi (Land Management Institute of NAAS of Ukraine);
– Roman Kharytonenko (Land Management Institute of NAAS of Ukraine) —
prepared a scientific report titled: “GIS-Based Analysis of the Dynamics and Factors of Sulfur Dioxide Air Pollution.”
The report was presented during the plenary session by Roman Derkulskyi, PhD in Economics.
Participation in this conference became an important step in exchanging experience, promoting research results, and fostering scientific cooperation among representatives of various institutions and higher education establishments in the field of environmental monitoring.
