On 15 May 2026, Kyiv hosted a dissemination event titled “Integration of Ukraine into the European Research Area”, organised by the National Research Foundation of Ukraine (NRFU) with the support of the European Union. The event was held in a hybrid format.
 
The Land Management Institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine was represented at the event by Senior Researcher Andrii Dorosh.
 
The programme consisted of three thematic blocks. The first block featured welcoming speeches and awards, with the participation of Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Denys Kurbatov, Chair of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation Serhii Babak, NRFU Chair Oksana Kis, as well as representatives of the EU Delegation to Ukraine and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation.
 
The second block was dedicated to the session “Integration of Ukraine into the European and Global Research Areas and Synergy of European Programmes”. Participants discussed the challenges and priorities facing Ukraine on its path to EU integration in science and research, multilateral initiatives of the international coalition on science and innovation, opportunities offered by the DAAD and Erasmus+ programmes, digital tools available on the NCP portal for Horizon Europe participants, and the role of UNESCO in building Ukraine’s scientific ecosystem.
 
The final block featured a closing summary and networking session.
