On 20.06.2024, scientists of the Land management institute of the National academy of agrarian sciences of Ukraine took part in the IV International Conference “Economic and Social Consequences of the COVID-19 Pandemic and the War in Ukraine”, organised by the Management Institute of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
During the plenary speeches, Mariia Bratinova presented a scientific report on “The war and transport factor in the valuation of agricultural land in Ukraine”, which was prepared by a team of authors: the Director of the Institute – Yosyp Dorosh, Head of the Department – Oksana Sakal, Senior Researcher – Roman Kharytonenko and Specialist (PhD student of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine) – Mariia Bratinova.
The authors of the research report drew attention to the transport factor, which plays a key role in the process of agricultural land valuation and affects its value through the concepts of differential annuity I and II. It has been established that the lower the transport costs, the higher the profit that can be obtained from agricultural production. It has become apparent that favourable investment conditions are currently being created for the location of production facilities in the west of the country. It was emphasised that at the state level, it is necessary to ensure fair conditions for the economic development of all regions and territorial communities.
