From October 2nd to October 5th, 2023, researchers of the Land Management Institute of National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine participated in the International Conference of Young Professionals “GeoTerrace-2023,” organized by the Institute of Geodesy of Lviv Polytechnic National University.
 
During the international conference, scientific ideas and practical research were presented: GNSS & Satellite Geodesy; Earth Surface Processes & Geodynamics; 3d Modelling & Visualization for Geology & Mining; Remote Sensing & GIS for Environmental Monitoring; Land Cover Mapping & UAV; Fixation, Monitoring & Assessment of War Consequences and Post-War Reconstruction.
 
Employees of the Land Management Institute of National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine made presentations in English on the following topics:
– Identification of dangerous territories of Ukraine during armed aggression using GIS;
– Assessment of the impact of flood caused by the destruction of Nova Kakhovka dam using remote sensing and GIS;
– Classification of restrictions on the use of lands affected by military actions;
– Applying GIS in Strategic Environmental Assessment of Land Management Documentation in Ukraine;
– The Land Exchange Modeling for Land Consolidation;
– Data collection methods for land evaluation in Ukraine;
– Some Aspects of the Implementation of the Land Plot Normative Monetary Valuation Methodology;
– Mapping of irrigated lands in the area of influence of the Kakhovsky Reservoir using GIS.
 
During the conference, participants exchanged ideas regarding the prospects and challenges associated with the recording, monitoring, and assessment of the consequences of war and post-war reconstruction using GIS.
