Scientific and pedagogical staff of the Faculty of Land Management of NULES of Ukraine completed an internship at the Land Management Institute of NAAS

In the spring of 2024, the academic staff of the Faculty of Land Management of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine successfully completed an internship at the leading scientific land management institution – the Land Management Institute of National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine.
 
The internship, which lasted from March 19 to April 9, 2024, was completed by the heads of the departments – Professors Ivan Kovalchuk, Andrii Martyn, Olha Dorosh, as well as Professor Iryna Novakovska, Associate Professors Anton Koshel, Iryna Kupriianchyk, Viacheslav Bohdanets, Yevhen Butenko, Ruslan Tykhenko, Olha Tykhenko, Oksana Kustovska, Iryna Kolganova, and Senior Lecturer Nataliia Kolesnik.
 

 
During the internship, the academic staff deepened their practical skills in three main areas: data collection and analytics, research, survey and design.
At the Land Management Institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, the academic staff learned about new approaches to assessing the economic efficiency of measures in land management documentation, analysing changes in land use under the influence of climate change, creating and implementing the National Geospatial Data Infrastructure, and developing strategies and short-term forecasts for land use development. They also had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the information-analytical product «NHO-Hromada» in detail.
 

 
The internship helps to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical skills, improves the quality of the educational process by introducing new ideas and relevant knowledge, and establishes close cooperation between colleagues in the land management field.
