The Land Management Institute of NAAS Holds General Meeting of Research Staff to Elect Institute Director
On August 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., the general meeting of research staff of the Land Management Institute of NAAS, chaired by Anatolii Moskalenko, Vice-President of NAAS and Corresponding Member of NAAS, was held to elect the Institute’s director.
According to the registration records, 19 of the Institute’s 21 staff researchers took part in the vote, which secured the legally required quorum (more than two-thirds of the actual staff number) for the meeting to be deemed valid.
Roman Kharytonenko, Scientific Secretary of the Institute, was elected secretary of the meeting.
Anatolii Moskalenko briefed those present on the legal and regulatory framework of the competition, noting that following a two-month document submission period, the NAAS Competition Commission had admitted a single candidate to the competition — Yosyp Dorosh, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, and Academician of NAAS.
As part of the agenda, candidate Yosyp Dorosh presented his election platform for the director’s position and answered questions from the researchers. The platform addressed the theory of land management as a core subject area, fundamental and applied research, methodological tools, the integration of science and practice, implementation of research results, staffing and the development of a scientific school, the international dimension, and organizational and resource frameworks.
Academician of NAAS Shamil Ibatullin and Corresponding Member of NAAS Iryna Novakovska took part in the discussion, expressing their support for Yosyp Dorosh’s candidacy and recommending his election as head of the institution.
A vote-counting commission — comprising Ibatullin Sh.I., Pravdiuk V.M., and Zavodiana M.V. — was approved to conduct the secret ballot, and the voting procedure requirements, including the use of a voting booth and ballot box, were announced.
The secret ballot results showed unanimous support for Yosyp Dorosh’s candidacy: 19 researchers (100% of those present) voted “in favor.”
By decision of the general meeting of research staff, Yosyp Dorosh was elected Director of the Institute of Land Management of NAAS.
Vice-President of NAAS Anatolii Moskalenko congratulated Yosyp Dorosh on his election as director.
The Institute’s staff warmly congratulate Yosyp Myroslavovych on this vote of confidence! We wish him strong health, inspiration, boundless energy, and significant achievements as he continues to advance Ukraine’s land management science. Ahead lies a great deal of shared work for the entire team in fulfilling the goals set and achieving new scientific milestones.
