The ІІІ international scientific and practical conference «FORMATION OF SUSTAINABLE LAND USE: PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS» was held online

On November 17, 2022, the III International Scientific and Practical Conference «FORMATION OF SUSTAINABLE LAND USE: PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS» was held online.

 

The official opening of the conference began with a welcome speech by an academician of the National Academy of Sciences, Vice-President of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine Yurii Lupenko.
Yosyp Dorosh, Dr of Economics, Prof., corresponding member of the NAAS, director of the Land management institute of national academy of agrarian sciences of Ukraine, addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech.

 

On behalf of the co-organizers of the event, the director of the Institute of Rural and Agricultural Development of Polish Academy of Sciences (Warsaw) Dr hab., Prof., Stanny Monika and director of the Institute of Nature Conservation, Polish Academy of Sciences (Krakow) Dr hab., Prof., Wilk-Woźniak Elżbieta.

 

We thank Ibatullin Shamil, Dr of Economics, Prof., academician of NAAS, deputy director for scientific work at Land management institute of National academy of agrarian sciences of Ukraine for being a conference moderator.

 

Presentations of the results of their research on various aspects of the formation of sustainable land use were presented by:

– Dr hab., Prof. Zawalińska Katarzyna, Head of the Department of Economic Modelling, Institute of Rural and Agricultural Development, Polish Academy of Sciences, (Warsaw) – «Land use, prices and conflicts after Poland joined the EU»;
– Avramchuk Bohdan, PhD in Economics, Head of the Department of Land Management Development and Land Cadastre at Land management institute of National academy of agrarian sciences of Ukraine, (Kyiv) – «Agricultural land arrays: formation methodology and role in land monitoring»;
– Barvinskyi Andrii, PhD in Agricultural Sciences, associate professor, lead researcher at Land management institute of National academy of agrarian sciences of Ukraine, (Kyiv) – «Agroecological assessment of soil quality in the land monitoring system».

 

The conference participants discussed acute issues related to the consequences of warfare, the impact of hostilities on land use and land management, soil quality assessment in the land monitoring system, agriculture and food security in general, and their possible solutions.

 

The materials of the conference will be posted on the website of the Land management institute of National academy of agrarian sciences of Ukraine. Participation in the conference is confirmed by a certificate.
