THE ІV INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL CONFERENCE «FORMATION OF SUSTAINABLE LAND USE: PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS» WAS HELD ONLINE

On November 16, 2023, the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference “Formation of Sustainable Land Use: Problems and Perspectives” took place in a mixed format (online).
The official opening of the conference began with a welcome speech by an academician of the National Academy of Sciences, Vice-President of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine Yurii Lupenko.
Yosyp Dorosh, Dr of Economics, Prof., corresponding member of the NAAS, director of the Land management institute of National academy of agrarian sciences of Ukraine, addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech.
On behalf of the co-organizers of the event, the participants were greeted by the director of State Institution “Institute of Economics and Forecasting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine” (Kyiv, Ukraine) Heyets Valeriy, Dr of Economics, Prof., academician of NAS of Ukraine, Distinguished Figure in Science and Technology of Ukraine. Additionally, the authorized representative of the Institute of Rural and Agricultural Development, Polish Academy of Sciences (IRWiR PAN), Dr Krupin Vitaliy (Warsaw, Poland), welcomed the participants.
 
The event was moderated by Ibatullin Shamil, Dr of Economics, Prof., academician of NAAS, deputy director for scientific work, Land management institute, National academy of agrarian sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv, Ukraine, and Dr Krupin Vitaliy, Institute of Rural and Agricultural Development, Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland.

During the conference, participants discussed urgent issues related to the management of land resources within territorial communities, conflicts regarding the use of agricultural lands, the implementation of normative assessment of land plots, satellite agroecological monitoring of climate change impacts on agroecosystems, identification, monitoring, and control of land use and protection, innovative forms of managing agricultural lands, eco-economic consequences of the Khakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant explosion, the application of geoinformation technologies, as well as greening initiatives in Polish cities, problems related to the use of soil and water resources.
 
The materials of the conference will be posted on the website of the Land management institute of National academy of agrarian sciences of Ukraine. Participation in the conference is confirmed by a certificate.
