Use of the Web-Based Land and Property Resources Accounting System of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine to Map Research Fields. Joint Discussion with the Institute of Bioenergy Crops and Sugar Beet of NAAS
On June 25, 2026, the Land Management Institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine hosted a working meeting attended by the Director of the Institute of Bioenergy Crops and Sugar Beet of NAAS, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences and Professor Oleh Prysiazhniuk, along with a researcher from the same institute. The Land Management Institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine was represented by Acting Director and NAAS Academician Yosyp Dorosh, Deputy Director for Research and NAAS Academician Shamil Ibatullin, and Deputy Director Andrii Tarnopolskyi.
Participants discussed the concept of using the web-based system for accounting land and property resources of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine to map research fields. The discussion focused on developing a web-GIS platform that would consolidate data from state registers with the results of scientific research conducted on academic fields, while also enabling automated agroscouting and the collection of scientific data from the fields using modern sensors and monitoring equipment.
Particular attention was given to the legalisation of land held by the Academy’s institutions and enterprises, as well as the creation of a Unified Electronic Register of Experiments and Research Fields of NAAS, complete with digital maps and satellite monitoring. During the meeting, a version of the Academy’s automated management system (AMS) was demonstrated.
The implementation of these initiatives will help improve the efficiency of NAAS land use and strengthen the scientific and legal status of the Academy’s research fields.
