On July 24, 2025, a scheduled meeting of the Coordination and Methodological Council (CMC) was held at the Land Management Institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine.
At the beginning of the session, Acting Director of the Institute, Doctor of Economics, Professor, and Academician of NAAS, Yosyp Dorosh, presented the meeting agenda, which included the following items:
– Presentation of a scientific report;
– Review of the interim reports for the first half of 2025 on the implementation of R&D Program No. 38 “Land Management and Cadastre” (“Land Use Planning”);
– Approval of the updated personal composition of the Institute’s Coordination and Methodological Council;
– Adoption of the CMC work plan for the second half of 2025;
– Analysis of the results of the state evaluation of the Land Management Institute of NAAS for the period 2019–2023.
 

 
The meeting of the Coordination and Methodological Council was attended by representatives of the Department of Agrarian Economics and Food of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, including:
– Maksym Kropyvko, Deputy Academic Secretary of the Department of Agrarian Economics and Food of NAAS, Doctor of Economics, Senior Research Fellow;
– Alla Voitiuk, Scientific Curator of the Institute and Head of the Agrarian Economics and Food Division of NAAS, PhD in Economics, Senior Research Fellow.
 

 
A scientific report was presented by Roman Derkulskyi, PhD in Economics, Junior Research Fellow at the Land Management Institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine.
The topic of the presentation was:
“Creating Living Spaces with Community Engagement in Dynamic Landscapes for Climate-Resilient Land Use Management under the New European Bauhaus Approach: Horizon Europe Project ‘LandShift’.”
The speaker outlined the following key aspects:
– the goals and mission of the LandShift project;
– project coordinator and implementation partners;
– work packages and main objectives;
– scientific approaches, including the use of cloud platforms and artificial intelligence;
– development of a “living space” model for Kyiv Region and a multi-actor platform;
– formation of a nature-based solutions library to support improved land use management in the Kyiv Region;
– post-project plans.
 

 
Following the scientific discussion and approval of the presented report, the Coordination and Methodological Council (CMC) reviewed the research outcomes of the R&D Program 38 “Land Management and Cadastre” for the first half of 2025.
Several topics generated particular scientific interest and lively discussion among council members:
– “Improving spatial identification of territorial community boundaries in the context of Ukraine’s administrative-territorial reform” – presented by PhD in Economics Roman Derkulskyi;
– “Institutional foundations for the development of land management under Ukraine’s European integration” – presented by Doctor of Economics, Senior Research Fellow Oksana Sakal;
– “Improvement of the State Land Cadastre maintenance under martial law in Ukraine” – presented by Andriy Tarnopolskyi;
– “Methodological approaches to the classification of regime-forming objects and restrictions on land use considering military impacts” – presented by PhD in Economics Roman Kharytonenko;
– “Developing an optimal model for territorial organization of amalgamated communities (OTGs) to ensure sustainable land use based on regional natural and economic conditions” – presented by PhD in Economics Andriy Dorosh.
 

 
The meeting also approved the updated composition of the Coordination and Methodological Council (CMC) of the Land Management Institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine.
The CMC work plan for the second half of 2025 was presented by Roman Kharytonenko, PhD in Economics and Scientific Secretary of the Institute.
Additionally, the Council reviewed the summary results of the state certification of the Land Management Institute of NAAS for the period 2019–2023 as a separate item on the agenda.
 

 
During the meeting of the Coordination and Methodological Council, Maxym Kropyvko, Doctor of Economics, Senior Research Fellow, and Deputy Academic Secretary of the Department of Agrarian Economics and Food of the NAAS of Ukraine, presented an Academic Acknowledgment Award of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine to Oksana Sakal, Head of the Department of Experimental Land Use Planning “Innovation Center” of the Land Management Institute of NAAS.
The award recognized her fruitful scientific and organizational contributions and significant impact on the development of land use economics, on the occasion of Science Day in Ukraine.
 

 
At the conclusion of the CMC meeting, Dr. of Economics, Professor, and Academician of the NAAS of Ukraine Yosyp Dorosh emphasized the importance of broader pilot testing and implementation of the Institute’s research results in 2025. He underlined the need to actively introduce scientific and technical developments and finalize R&D reports within the framework of the Research Program No. 38 “Land Management and Cadastre.”
In his concluding remarks, Yosyp Myroslavovych drew particular attention to the development of the Institute’s priority areas, including the enhancement of educational performance indicators, expansion of international collaboration, and active participation in the Horizon Europe program.
